Gripping stories that lasso your heart with dirt-under-your-fingernails suspense and faith outfitted in work boots.

Welcome! Thank you for stopping by.

Journeying through life with my hand clinging to my Savior.

I am first and foremost a servant of Jesus Christ.  I am also wife to my best friend, Daniel, and Mom to our three blessings – Travis, Andrew and Lauryn.  We homeschool and are very active in our Awana program at church.

I have always loved to create stories and have been writing short stories for family and friends from the time I was old enough to spell. I am an avid reader and consider reading as my top hobby. My favorite stories in the Bible are Esther and Jesus’ parables.

My husband and I are full-time multi-generational alternative farmers on Polyface Farm in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. I love farm life and all things associated with it.  Our farm uses creation as a template for raising our animals. We are firm believers that healthy animals make healthy people. We use no hormones or antibiotics and all of our animals are on pasture. You can read more about our farm by visiting our website.

Learning to write Romantic Suspense with a Farming Flair ~

Writing a complete novel is a new journey for me. I am blessed with three excellent critique partners and we are working together towards publication.  My current work in progress is a romantic suspense about a young woman who is desperate for answers to her past, but her sister’s life hangs in the balance if she tries to find them.
More about my book can be found here.

I covet your comments and prayers as I embark on this journey. Please be sure to leave a comment below before you leave.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD,

“plans to prosper you and not to harm you,

plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

    Hi Sheri!

I actually found this through Kristen on facebook, thanks Kristen! Your description of your battle with Lyme touched me profoundly. I can never put it, or write in words what it’s like. You have a gift for sure! Lyme is life altering. I used to have many doubts and question my faith considerably, and this was before I got sick. Strangely, being sick has erased all doubt, and I have never been more sure of His presence than I am right now. Yet another thing that’s hard for me to explain, but I know you get it.

Your farm life, your family, your faith, your battle with lyme, all of it, is an inspiration to me.
Good luck with your writing! ~Lynn

  4. Hi Sheri,
My boss has come down with a diseas in the past few weeks that the doctors can’t diagnose. He was tested for Lyme. Have you read Brandilyn Collins latest suspense that deals with Lyme? She also has a blog on Lyme.
    I’m so glad you’re better!
