Yep, I’m still working on my Farmer’s Wife Quilt.
This week, I’m teaming up with Ellie Roberts at Craft Sew Create for her Farmer’s Wife Friday group. It’s nice to keep my accountable.
I’ve always said this quilt would be a 3 (or so) year project, but if I never work on it, I’ll never finish it. So as much as possible, I’d like to at least get one block done to show you all every week. No promises with summer coming on.
So this week, I managed to squeeze time in to complete Blocks #105 and #32.
Block #105 is called Wild Goose Chase
With all these little tiny pieces, it was a relief to get this one sewn together. I lost a couple of pieces and had to cut them again before this one made it to the machine. Keep in mind, the blocks are only 6 inches square – some of these pieces are T.I.N.Y!!
Block #32 is called Farmer’s Daughter
I’m not a farmer’s daughter in the true sense of the word. I’m an accountant’s daughter (although you wouldn’t know it by my math skills). However I am a farmer’s wife.
I know that the blocks seem to jump around in number (remember, math isn’t my best skill?) but that is because I’m doing the blocks in order with the Farmer’s Wife letters. (ah, yes, reading and writing, much more to my liking) Ha!
This weekend is going to be busy. Tomorrow I’m going to a Farm conference with my farmer hubby.
Farming is truly a lifestyle, not a job. If we wanted a job, we’d get one. Farming is so much more than that and dare I say it? “Much more work than that.” Can I hear an amen from my farmer friends out there?
Happy Friday! Thank you so much for stopping by!!
Please leave a comment and leave your blog link (if you have one) I love to visit my web neighbors and if you leave your “address”. I’ll stop by sometime
