Do you believe in love at first sight?

The moment she spotted him, she just knew he was The One. Her heart started racing, her palms went sweaty and butterflies danced in her stomach.

And then they kiss…

Oh, yes…toes curls and heads spin. It’s gotta be love.

Or is it?

What do you think? Is there such a thing as love at first sight?

What makes you drawn to certain people and not to others?

Let’s talk about this today and next week, I’ll share my story. :)

Oh, I believe at attraction at first site, definitely…but love takes a little bit of time and a lot of work:) I also think it can work the opposite way though. I wasn’t attracted at all to Hubby when I first met him (though it was jr. high…but even then, it took till college). But then I fell in love with him and became completely, madly, wildly attracted to him!

Great question, Sheri! The notion of love at first sight is very romantic, but I’m not sure it works that way either (I like Susan’s comment on this). I believe two people can have an instant connection or chemistry, but love gradually takes place and needs time to blossom. I do believe that God can show the couple when they meet that they are meant for one another, but emotionally it takes time to trust/know someone. Looking forward to your story, Sheri :) Blessings!

Interesting question and I’d agree with the comments. Personally, I think love is more of a choice and commitment to another person rather than only feelings. True, the feelings are definitely a part of love but you can choose to love someone even when you don’t feel love toward them. Looking forward to hearing your story, Sheri. :)

Our Preacher says “You don’t fall in love you grow in love.”
I concur with Karen and Susan and my Preacher.
