The Farmer’s Wife: Cut Glass Dish & Kitchen Woodbox

This week we are in the middle of getting ready for our Passion Play for our church. Last night was our dress rehearsal and Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings are the production. It’s a full 2+ hour play about the life, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. A very dramatic presentation complete with authentic costuming, stage blood and 100 member cast, as well as a fourteen foot cross and ascension.

Please join me in praying for our production and if you are in the area, come on out! We put this play on every year in hopes to bring the message of Jesus and salvation to many. Folks who don’t normally come to church will pack into the seats for a drama.

So far I have made 7 blocks. Here are 2 of them:

Cut Glass Dish

And the other one:

Kitchen Woodbox

I’ll share some of the others later. I’m already having so much fun!

Your Turn: What are you doing this week?

We are entering spring break – YEAH! I hope to get some weeding, writing, cleaning, and reading done:) I love the quilts you’re making–beautiful! Oh, and what are you doing to your lamium to keep it from being a nuisance? Maybe a different breed than what we’ve got??? Cause up here it takes on a life of its own! But it sure is pretty, huh?

    • It could be that our climate is too warm for it. :) I haven’t had any problems with it “running away” from me. I just pinch it back every time I weed and it seems to work great. I only put in one plant and I was thinking of going back for another. It only covers about a 3’x3′ area. :) Maybe your thumb is just greener than mine!
      That is quite possible.
