Two Cents’ Worth: Knitting Frenzy

I’m a knitter. Yep, that’s right, I love to knit. Call me old-fashioned but it’s relaxing for me. Now that I have gotten that confession out of the way, I would like to share some picture of my newest projects.

These are fingerless gloves.  Authors, you would love these because they enable you to type and keep your hands warm.  I have made five pairs of these so far (one isn’t shown, cause I didn’t get a picture of it), but haven’t managed to hold onto a single one! They keep running away and jumping into the hands, quite literally, of dear friends and family.

Christmas Red – all they are lacking is the ribbon around the wrists

Longer gloves – made for a photographer

Love this blue!

Ribbons were left long for adjustment, but you can see the thumb holes in this picture.

The pattern for these gloves (the shorter ones) can be found here and the longer glove pattern can be found here.

What about you? Do you have a hobby? I would consider knitting one of those “lost art” things next to crochet and canning etc, do you do any lost arts?

Oh and one more thing…if you are a knitter or a crocheter, come join me on Ravelry! It’s an online knitting/crochet pattern site with lots and lots of free patterns. A great network. :o)  Look me up if you jion (it’s free), my username is sheriberry02.

I love knitting, and I love those gloves!!

I'm no expert; I've mostly knit little things like hats, dishcloths, wool soakers/longies for diapering, etc. And I only do it in the 'off' season – i.e. when there are no gardens or chickens and such to tend to. :) I sew too, various things from wallets to 'regency era' dresses/stays. Again, not in summer. šŸ˜€

Okay, I see these gloves and old Madonna songs pop into my head! They are fabulous. You are so talented…knitting and writing!

You know my hobby! Refurbishing furniture. :) BTW if you change your comments section from embedded to pop up it makes commenting easier. I fixed mine! :)
